Disassembling the rear end of your 88-91 Civic

     This will tell you how to remove the bumper and tail lights of your EF Civic. The rear bumper is same on both a Civic and CRX and maybe the tail lights, I'm not sure.
Rear Bumper
     Look at the bumper where it is inside the wheel well and there will be 2 flat, black, phillips screws on each side. Take these out. Then underneath the car you'll see a 12 mm nut on each side. They are a silvery gold color and are caped. They aren't open nuts. Remove these and then take the rear trim out of the car. There will be 2 more of these under the trim. Unscrew these and then pull the rear bumber away far enough to unplug the license plate lights. Tail Lights
     Take the trim off for changing the bulbs and you'll see 5 gold 8 mm nuts. Take these out and pull the lights out.
